What a great day yesterday in our workshop handmade Christmas – Paper and yarn.
Lots of lovely ladies, some new attendees and some ladies who have been before.
This time we were fortified by Chocolate chip cake and tea.
Many paper items were made by all and we all did a bit of crochet in the afternoon.
I certainly had a great day showing them all.
Saturday is our first Homemade Christmas workshop, our second one (part 2 – sewing) is in a couple of weeks.
Julie will be tutoring knitted and crocheted gifts and decorations and I will be making decorations and gift boxes from paper.
All our Craft Workshops are now listed on the Crafts by the Sea website.
Well what a week of under achievement!.
Having come down with the worst cold I’ve ever had ( no exaggeration) I achieved absolutely nothing this week apart from sniffing, sneezing, blowing my nose and feeling sick all the time.
Not only have I been feeling miserable but the weather has been atrocious. It has been so windy and rainy here is feels like April showers on a high.
So I need to catch up on everything starting here.
Firstly I’ve been nominated for another Blog award by fsszj who has nominated me for the One Lovely Blog Award. Thanks – I do appreciate it and I will pass it on as soon as I can.
Not only did I have this cold but so did Julie who was going to tutor the Knitting workshop on Saturday with me but she was just as ill as me, so we cancelled our workshop. All the ladies were lovely when we cancelled the workshop, we will re-arrange it ASAP.
Above are some of the things we were going to cover in our workshop.
We have also had Petes mother down (“mother in law”) for a long weekend as it her 85th Birthday last friday on the 15th. They’ve gone out for a walk so hence I’m catching up with my blog.
The weather today is calm – no wind – yippee and sunny so far. I walked the dog this morning and it was a pleasure to get out and about without wearing wellies ( although there is lots of mud and puddles around) and a raincoat.
More posts on their way…………………….

My partner hates tea cosies and he hates with a vengeance my current tea cosy so it was time for a new one.
We also we want a ‘show and tell’ pattern that’s used crochet & decreasing for our next crochet workshop. It took a couple of evenings to make and a knit & natter session with Jane and Julie to finish it off.
The wool for cosy came from someone who had a clear out and was a DK that is not made any more . The flowers were made from Noro which were some of the left overs from my crochet scarf

We had another Learn to Crochet day on Saturday.
It was a long tiring day but at the end of the day another 7 ladies left us having learnt how to crochet.
One of our ladies brought in homemade cheese scone (Thank You) and the cake for the day was Beetroot cake- which was great. (Thank you Jane’s mum)
