Crochet – Granny Cardigan pattern available

Crochet – Granny  Cardigan pattern now available….With a lot of help from Julie W. we have finished the pattern and it is now available as a free pattern.

The pattern is a simple formula to creating a cardigan in any size with any type of yarn and any size hook.

Each cardigan is made largely of two hexagons, so if you can granny square you can hexagon.

My version is a little different to others I have seen as it has extra rows on the back to create a flat back neck.

There is a photo tutorial and charts.

It’s amazing that something so simple takes a lot of explanation.

Hope you all enjoy the pattern.

Happy Crocheting

Hand made – amelia dellow designs

Hand made – amelia dellow designs……….  Who is amelia dellow I hear you ask.

amelia dellow was my gran on my mums side. When designing patterns and making our hand crafted items a lot of them are a joint collaboration between myself and various friends so rather than using my name I decided to use an umbrella brand name.

So all our patterns whether they are free or for purchase and our handmade hand crafted items all bear the brand amelia dellow.

We have a small website that gives you a flavour of our work and patterns.  www.ameliadellow.co.uk.  All our free patterns are available on this website – Free Patterns

hand made – a new adventure

Hand made – a new adventure…..A new wool shop has opened in Swanage.  To be precise it is a Lingerie and wool shop.  Purl & Lace not only sells underwear

from premium underwear specialist it also sells lots and lots of lovely wool.

Run by Steph, who is an avid knitter, she has chosen some lovely wool which compliments the wool available at the other  wool shop in Swanage.

After giving a couple of crochet classes just before Christmas she asked me if I would supply some hand made articles to be sold in the shop.  I didn’t take much persuading.  She mainly wanted baby gifts so I got the old hooks and needles out and have been supplying her for the last few months.

I supply handmade items and patterns under the name of amelia dellow
