We got Julia to look after the dog. Julia lives on a farm, looks after her own horses and stables others right in the middle of a forest, where the dogs have free roaming around the farm and stables.
On Thursday we travelled up to Bath and hit the shops and walked around town.
Pete bought a pair of Lee Jeans & T-shirt and I bought some shoes. These may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I love the colour. They are actually children’s shoes but Ecco often do children’s shoes up to size 7 – yippee, which means they are cheaper than adult shoes. (I also think that they are VAT free)
I also visited the Bath wool shop and met two lovely ladies and their dog. Fantastic range of wools, some unusual and lots of small knitted things for sale hidden in and around the shop. Of course, I invested in some wool that I don’t sell in my shop.
I bought some Rico Poems (4ply sock wool) and some Adriafil Knitcol Trends (DK/Aran), no plans as yet but they’ll keep the stash topped up.
For dinner we went to a new Spanish Tapas restaurant La Perla. Their food was marvellous, a modern take on tapas.
Friday we went to Whitstable driving through some awful rain storms. We ran along the prom, went to a Junk/Collectables shop and went for a pub restaurant meal.
Saturday we went to Canewdon, Essex to see some old friends and stayed overnight with them returning Sunday afternoon.
We picked the dog up Monday morning and of course he is ignoring us and sulking.
